the assurance of His help, of His all…….

On Thursday, January 26th, 2012

I love the song by Tommy Walker where he sings “He knows my name. He knows my every thought. He sees each tear that falls. And He hears me when I call.” There are no promises and words so real as those spoken by our Father, assuring us of His help when we call on Him. Have you called on Him lately? So often we burden ourselves with troubles best left for our Father. He says “ask and it shall be given to you, knock and the door will be opened.

Perhaps all we have to do today is surrender to His will. Sometimes surrender is all there is left to do. This as you may know is sometimes not the easiest to do but we MUST, simply because surrender opens up doors for deliverance. Remember He knows your every thought, He hears when you call. And if you will let Him, He will do more than just enter your life, He will bring you an everlasting peace from above. More than you would ever dream or imagine :) .

A few months ago the Lord opened a door in my life for a job. Taking this job meant that I would have the longest commute I have ever had to work, it meant that if my kids needed me immediately, it would not be an immediate ride to them, it meant that I would not volunteer as much as I did in school, it meant alot, but most of all it meant that if I didn’t trust Him and believe in Him I would NEVER make it. There were days when I wondered what He was thinking, I knew I had to be obedient to His voice, yet being obedient meant that I would make so many seemingly important sacrifices, and I was very very disturbed and sometimes out of His peace. One day He whispered into my heart and told me that because of my obedience I would be rewarded greatly, well that was good, but it didn’t at the time seem good enough to get me out of my misery, yet He continued whispering such promises into my life. Never ceasing always faithful :) One would think my complaints would cease, but I think they became worse, still He continued assuring me of His presence and plans for my life.

Eventually, I reached this place where I should have reached weeks ago. A place that gave me contentment and peace saturate my heart allowing me to accept this season (and I must say this was the best decision I made). Well a few weeks ago He surprised me. Pleasantly surprised me by opening a new door for a job much much closer to home. And am sure you know I jumped for joy and was so excited, but by this time the Lord had done alot in my life. He had blessed me with a bible study group at my work where I remained in community with other believers (this was a huge blessing) and every Wednesday we shared the word and ministered to each other.

I can honestly say that I am glad I made the decision to obey His voice and believe in His good plans for my life. Because of my obedience my daughters and I are now enjoying the promises He whispered into my life, a promise of great reward. Praise the Lord we serve a mighty might big God.

Like myself the Lord might be calling you to an uncomfortable assignment. The doors He might open might not be doors you would want to venture into, but would you please trust me when I tell you that He has plans for your good and not for evil. Would you trust me when I tell you that He knows your needs even before you ask of Him. Trust Him my dear friend, there is nothing as rewarding as trusting and being obedient to His voice. That voice that sometimes comes so gentle and yet so loving. That voice is an amazing voice to have close to you.

I pray today that you will receive the boldness to take Him up on His offer and to walk with Him where He takes you all the days of your life. It might not make sense, but would you please trust Him. He who knows the end from the beginning. He will never let you down :)

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Until next time

Love you always: Christine
